Loan of artefacts
WEDG members can borrow artefacts free of charge. We have a large collection of artefacts from countries/regions such as South America, West Africa, India, China, Japan and Ghana. The artefact collections include everyday items, as well as those associated with festivals and special occasions. Artefacts are loaned with an information card, so that teachers and pupils know about the purpose of each item. We also have a wide selection of clothing from around the world, often in child sizes, so they can be tried on.

We have a large selection of paper resources for members to borrow free of charge (including fiction and reference books, and teacher activity/ photo packs). We also have a number of video and DVDs for loan. Resources are available on countries, as well as on themes such as refugees, children's rights and sustainability. WEDG has some resources available for sale, and can offer advice on suitable books if you are planning to add to your class library
Assemblies
WEDG staff can deliver an assembly on a topic linked to global citizenship/ sustainability. Popular topics include Fairtrade, Refugee Week, working children, interdependence and global footprints. This service is available free of charge to members. All we ask is that you allow half an hour for the assembly and you cover the cost of our travel expenses.
