Resources

WEDG resources are FREE for loan by our members.  We have an extensive range of books (fiction and non-fiction), photo packs, DVD and video packs, games and artefacts. Our resources are updated on a regular basis.

What are artefacts?
WEDG artefacts are objects like clothes, utensils and musical instruments.  Some are special, perhaps for religious purposes; some are everyday items.  See below for our artefact boxes.

Here are just some of the themes we cover: 
Individual countries, scarce resources, Fairtrade, cultural stories, transport, religions, food, rights and responsibilities, Citizenship, everyday life

Borrowing From WEDG: What you need to do

  1. Check your organisation is a member.
  2. Contact us and know what country or theme you're studying and for which age group.  We can select a cross section of artefacts and resources that will link to your topic/theme. Alternatively, browse our resources below and contact us to reserve items.  We need to know your pick up and return dates for the resources.
  3. Come and collect.  A security deposit cheque from you school is required. Click here for opening times and location.
  4. Usual loan period is three weeks. This is flexible according to demand.
